  • Week 3: Wireless Communication Technologies - Overview of Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Cellular, LoRaWAN.
  • Week 4: Programming Basics for IoT Devices - Introduction to Python/Arduino/C++ programming languages.

Month 2: Hardware & Prototyping

  • Week 1: Microcontrollers and Embedded Systems - Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32.
  • Week 2: Circuit Design and PCB Layout - Schematic capture, PCB design basics.
  • Week 3: Advanced Sensors and Actuators - Temperature sensors, GPS modules, motor control.
  • Week 4: Building IoT Projects - Simple projects like home automation, smart lighting systems.

Month 3: Networking & Security

  • Week 1: Basics of Network Protocols - TCP/IP, MQTT, CoAP.
  • Week 2: Cloud Platforms for IoT - Introduction to AWS IoT, Azure IoT, Google Cloud IOT Core.
  • Week 3: Data Storage and Visualization - Using databases like MongoDB/AWS S3, visualizing data with Grafana/InfluxDB.
  • Week 4: Security in IoT - Encryption techniques, secure authentication methods, privacy concerns.

Month 4: Software & Application Development

  • Week 1: Real-time Databases and APIs for IoT - Understanding RESTful services, MQTT brokers.
  • Week 2: Mobile App Integration with IoT Devices - Building mobile apps using Flutter or React Native that interact with IoT devices.
  • Week 3: Web Applications and Dashboards for IoT - Developing web applications using frameworks like Django/Flask/Angular to manage IoT data.
  • Week 4: Project Work: Integrating Multiple Technologies - Combining hardware, software, and cloud services in a real-world application.

Month 5: Special Topics & Case Studies

  • Week 1: Emerging Trends in IoT - AI/IoT, Blockchain for IoT, Edge Computing.
  • Week 2: Advanced Security Practices - PKI/SSL/TLS, X.509 certificates, secure boot and firmware update mechanisms.
  • Week 3: Environmental Sensing & Smart Cities - Developing solutions to monitor air quality, water management, waste management using IoT.
  • Week 4: Healthcare Applications of IoT - Wearables, remote patient monitoring systems.

Month 6: Final Project & Review

  • Have participants present their final project, which should demonstrate mastery of key skills learned throughout the training program.
  • Encourage feedback from peers and facilitators to reinforce learning and identify areas for continued improvement.
  • Finalizing projects, presentations preparation, and defense strategies.
  • Presentations and feedback sessions for all students’ projects.
